"The eagle, full of the boundless spirit of freedom, living above the valleys, strong and powerful in his might, has become the national emblem of a country that offers freedom in word and thought and an opportunity for a full and free expansion into the boundless space of the future."

This is a reproduction of an antique ships transom carving. These lightweight polyurethane molding foam "carvings" are hand painted and distressed to look like old wood. We use lacquer based paints. There is a light indoor sealer on it already. We recommend applying a clear outdoor varnish to seal further. The outdoor varnish will help protect it from the weather.
This eagle is clutching a flag in his feet and a blue ribbon in his mouth.
Across the ribbon reads "LIVE AND LET LIVE". The flag is red, white, and blue. The stars are "carved" (incised) like a quarterboard would have been. The stripes are raised slightly and the white is lower (reliefed).
The wings are gold.
The head and tailfeathers are white.
The Transform American Eagle is the perfect nautical decoration for a bar, game room or seafood restaurant.
The Ship's Transom Eagle measures 47" wide wing span x 15" tall and weighs approximately 5 lbs.
Although some choose to hang them outdoors during mild weather seasons, figureheads are made for interior use. We recommend bringing them them in during harsh weather months.
