Don't Feel Bad: 3 Reasons You Should Splurge on New Decorations

Aug 14th 2015

Have you been thinking about redoing one of your home's rooms with nautical decorations, but can't find a good reason to splurge on the decorative  nautical items? Well, look no further. Here are just a few excuses you can use to buy those nautical home decorations in good conscience.

Your Current Decorations Make You Feel Gloomy
How does your current decor make you feel? Not good? That makes sense, since a study from a few years ago found that only one in five Americans feel happy about their home's decor. In fact, 14% -- more than one in 10 -- went as far as to say that their home decor made them even feel gloomy and stressed out.

You Find Yourself Avoiding Going Home
How often are you home? Think about it. A lot of people find that they're actually home far less than they think they are, and it's often because they just don't want to go home. If you find that you can't stay at home for more than a day at a time, then you might have a home decor problem on your hands.

You Haven't Redecorated In a While
When was the last time you redecorated? Can you even remember? Is your place the same as it was when you moved in? If any of this is true, then chances are you're well overdue for some redecoration. Styles and trends change. The colors might have been cool a few years ago, but maybe now it's time for a more rustic, nautical theme.

If your current home decor makes you feel gloomy, if you don't even like being home, and/or if you haven't redecorated in a while, then go ahead. Buy those nautical items and redecorate. You'll be glad you did.
